Referral Policy
REFERRAL AND GIFT CARD POLICY
Effective Date: July 8, 2025
This Referral and Gift Card Policy (“Policy”) is issued by How to NREMT, also known as The How To Company (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), and governs all referral and promotional gift card programs offered by the Company. By participating in any such program, you (“Participant,” “you,” or “your”) agree to be bound by this Policy in addition to our Terms of Service.

Eligibility
Participants must be at least eighteen (18) years of age and legal residents of jurisdictions where such promotional programs are permitted. Employees, contractors, affiliates, and representatives of the Company are not eligible to participate unless expressly authorized in writing. Participation is void where prohibited by law. -
Program Terms
Gift cards may be offered in connection with successful referrals or as part of Company-sponsored promotions. The standard gift card value is twenty-five U.S. dollars (USD $25.00); however, the amount may vary depending on the promotion. A referral is considered valid only when the referred individual completes a qualifying purchase of two hundred U.S. dollars (USD $200.00) or more. Referrals must be made in good faith. Self-referrals, the use of false identities, fake accounts, or any form of manipulation or fraud will result in disqualification and potential legal action. To be eligible for a gift card, both the referrer and the referee must confirm the referral relationship, and the referee must explicitly identify the referrer as the person who referred them at the time of purchase or sign-up. The Company reserves the right to deny or cancel any referral or withhold any gift card for any reason, including but not limited to suspected abuse, fraud, or violation of this Policy or our Terms of Service. -
Gift Card Issuance
Gift cards are typically delivered electronically via email within seven (7) to thirty (30) calendar days after the qualifying action is verified. Delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed. Participants are solely responsible for providing accurate and accessible contact information. The Company is not responsible for undelivered gift cards resulting from incorrect email addresses, spam filters, inactive accounts, or technical issues outside our control. -
Restrictions and Limitations
Gift cards have no cash value, are non-transferable, non-refundable, and may not be exchanged for other compensation. The Company reserves the right to limit the number of gift cards issued per person, household, or promotion. The Company may modify, suspend, or terminate any referral or gift card offer at any time, with or without notice. -
Use and Legal Compliance
Participants agree not to use any gift card provided by the Company for illegal, unauthorized, or unethical purposes. The Company is not responsible for how gift cards are used after distribution and disclaims all liability for any misuse, including the purchase of illegal or restricted goods or services. By accepting a gift card, you assume full responsibility for all activity related to its use. -
Taxes
Recipients are solely responsible for reporting and paying any applicable federal, state, or local taxes associated with receiving or using a gift card. The Company does not provide tax advice and is not responsible for any resulting tax obligations. -
Right to Audit and Investigate
The Company reserves the right to audit, investigate, or review any referral or promotional activity. Participants agree to cooperate fully with any inquiry. The Company may delay, deny, or cancel gift card issuance while such investigations are in progress. -
No Guarantee of Receipt
The Company makes no guarantees regarding delivery of gift cards and is not liable for any failure to receive a gift card due to technical problems, third-party system failures, or any reason beyond our reasonable control. -
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless How to NREMT, its officers, employees, agents, and affiliates from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses arising out of or in connection with your participation in the referral or promotional program, your receipt or use of a gift card, or your violation of this Policy or applicable law. -
Dispute Resolution
Any dispute related to this Policy shall be governed by the laws and dispute resolution provisions outlined in the Company’s Terms of Service. Participation constitutes agreement to those terms. -
Severability
If any provision of this Policy is determined to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. -
